The real question is whether it will stand the test of time as a brand, and just how good their product really is. I think we need people to test it out!

Personally, I feel like this doesn't have much personality to it, it feels bland & uninspired. The finishing is nice but nothing special. Design is not offensive, but nothing special. Movement is nice, but nothing special. The price point is also very, ve... 

The welds DO look rough. In fact, if we're going by the lights of this kind of pricing...yikes. It's a bit like the Biver: unremarkable.

The choice of tantalum is also commendable. Every time I see a tantalum cased watch it gets my attention - something I'd like to try one day.

I believe it started with the Schwarz Etienne "Voutilainen" collaboration. Then many others followed suit, Moritz Grossman limited editions, Sartory Billard, Laine come to mind - by the way, all of those are far better value that this proposal. Sartory Bi...

For me it made sense that an established movement manufacturer would go and seek one of the best dial suppliers. It was also very reasonably priced ...

At a high level I like how these look. However the issue for me with any project like this is I don’t know how I feel about the fact that there is no single watchmaker behind the brand. (And that is a much more relevant comment for me at these price point... 

In MB&Fs case, there is a completely unique aesthetic that nothing on the market is even close to. Their movements are very unique aesthetically and functionality wise.

For me, my point was even with arguably much stronger of a story I would have been similarly hesitant with MB&F. I think it’s the model of business that gives me pause, and the only way to overcome that is building a track record. So it’s a wait and see a... 

Now that wouldn’t (didn’t) change my view as stated above, and in fact that may have made the sell even harder to the average collector. But the point I think you are making is that this is another classic round watch, nice dial, perhaps more visually int...

…but 50-70k is the new 20-30k. It just seems to be so as all these new watches over the last 3-5 years have shown. Like you, I can’t get my head around it.
