Offtopic but...
I own this watch (Origin Opaline) and was actually delivered movement #018. All the screws line up exactly as in the marketing photos. I love seeing the professional stock images of this movement knowing that exact example is in my watchbox

Adjusted to 6 positions
Can anyone shed light on why some of the best movements in the industry so prominently tout that they have been adjusted to 6 positions? I understand that 6 adjustments is better than 5 positions, but is this such a significant difference to explain its p...
I personally like to know in how may position a watch is adjusted but that being said, sometime 6 position adjustment does not necessarily mean it will be more accurate than a 5 position adjustment...
I have owned some 6 position watch with very average rate while i have some 5 position adjusted watch with almost zero deviation!

Thanks for your perspective. So if 6 isn’t necessarily better than 5, I remain curious why a manufacturer would prominently display the adjustment number on the back of the movement, where space is such a premium.
Not every manufacturer perform their regulation adjustment with the same precision. Everything else being equal 6 position adjustment should be better then 5...
but a well adjusted 5 position watch will run better than a poorly adjusted 6 position watch. Number of position does not necessarily equate to accurate, the quality of how a given position is regulated is likely the most important factor here. Quality ov...

It seems with adjustments, when you make things better in one position, sometimes you make them worse in another. With 5-position adjustment, there is an "escape hatch" in the form of one position that will not be measured. With 6, there is not. That does...

LF, like any watch brand, has to sell watches to survive so marketing is important.
That isn't a bad thing, but it is honest to the fact that LF is a business, just like any other watch maker.

Agreed. And, in the the truth of truth, I have no idea why they have chosen to give it such prominence.
Perhaps they wanted to add text to the movement to give it visual interest. Artistic flair is a fickle thing, after all. More my point is to not focus on the logical side of it (being adjusted to 6 positions), but rather the creative side.
