Can anyone shed light on why some of the best movements in the industry so prominently tout that they have been adjusted to 6 positions? I understand that 6 adjustments is better than 5 positions, but is this such a significant difference to explain its prominent display on the movement, rather than in just the manufacturer’s literature? I’m not really even sure why the number of jewels is typically displayed, but at least there is more variation with that number. It doesn’t bother me, but I’m genuinely curious.
