Monochrome won
De Bethune has been associated with oxidized titanium for a while. I love their KOB and their Yellow Tones watches (however, they are vulnerable to scratches since the oxidization treatments are surface only, and I need a more durable watch).
But their earlier work was not defined by blued (or yellowed) titanium. The monochrome watch, as others have alluded to, resembles their GHPG winner. And to my eyes, it is the more aesthetically cohesive of the two.
I’ll just need to buy another one that’s more blue in the future!

DB stands for blue titanium, for sure. Still, being a simple guy, I like my things pure and my choice would be No. 1.

Yay! Early congrats! I don't think either is "more" DB than the other.
While there is a lot of blue ti today, the early watches were not so blue and the aiguille d'or winning db28 was more like the first one. That said, the DB polished blue ti is super sweet, electric blue unlike anything else, so no bad options either way 👍...
I think the top one looks more harmonious and will be a timeless classic.
The second is just a little blue, but not enough to be bold like the Kind of Blue.

Blue is more associated with De Bethune
That being said, the first one was the version that won GPHG if I'm not mistaken. IMO, the first version is more attractive, you get a touch of blue with the moon phase anyway.
