It's a hard job but someones got to do it. I consider it a duty as a fellow purist! π
By keeping it you do not consume for consumption sake. I to always have a reason for the pieces I by (at least I try to convince myself there is a rational reason for the purchase ππ). In a way the thinking is: do I need to by it (have any use for it)? Once I've bought it, I in a way think in the same way: do I need to sell it? If not - don't!

As the enjoyment does not need to be continual to have value. Even brief moments here or there are worthwhile. I think that is a good character - as long as it isn't acquired for the sake to have, buy to enjoy. Albeit in short bursts or continually.
