I got a reply from HMC with regards to the DLC coating
They said if it comes off, they will not be able to repair/ recoat it. The part will need to be replaced! Nevertheless, I think this is a great watch and I am still thinking about the black edition. Such a wearable PC and practical. I will definitely post some photos once I get my hands on one.

I've never been a fan of such clean, simple dials, BUT....
Moser pulls it off like no other. I absolutely love the softness of these dials and the overall design of these pieces.

A great concept
I like minimalistic look and this does it for me. I actually like the Black Edition of this watch but I am not sure how resistant that DLC coating is. Thank you for sharing this with us. One of the best perpetual calendars out there.

HMC applies three layers of DLC coating hence it's supposedly one of the toughest on the market. Moreover, it's DLC applied on Titanium as opposed to steel, hence more shock resistant. If I hadn't already bought my own piece, I probably would have serious...

Like you, I've already had a grey fume dial Endeavour Small Seconds (Mayu). If I were to get a perpetual calendar,
the one like yours would be perfect! I can't even dream of any opportunities of getting involved in the development of my own dream watch. Oh! How I envy you.

almost a year so there's absolutely no need for service quite yet! (Thank god for that!) No problem whatsoever w/ the date jumping so far although I haven't put it on a timer yet. However, based on my casual observation, the time keeping is pretty decent....
