Independents

Hear, hear!

Tahnk you kindly for your elaborate reply, which I can only underline over and over again. When "The PuristS" (back then without "Pro" was founded, it was clear from the beginning that our standards regarding the industry have to extremely strict, and we made that very clear to our contacts. As a matter of fact, we even halted our cooperation when we had the impression that our questions were not answered honestly, or we were tagged as a PR asset only.
Yes, I got watches on loan for a test report, and as a matter of fairness, I sent my article to their technical and PR departments before we published it. There were cases where this allowed misunderstandings (mostly technical ones) to be cleared. But I never agreed to hold back an article if its content was not to the manufacturer's liking - which, in one or two cases resulted in me never getting a watch to test again, or never to be invited for a brand event again. I could live with that very well ...
