H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Tourbillon Funky Blue πŸ’™ Quick Review

Jan 19, 2023,17:51 PM

Thanks to all for the valuable advice and feedback in my other topic. Is always nice to hear other opinions!! I also enjoyed the exchange about downsizing/replacing watches in the collection which was very useful to me.

I had the chance to try both the Vantablack tourbillon and the Funky Blue which I love   πŸ’™ so here it is !

The 60 seconds Flying Tourbillon with Double-Hair Spring patented by H. Moser is just amazing. I like the look much more than the traditional tourbillon held by screws etc. (like in the Lange or some AP models).
The dial, of the strengths of Moser, is amazing. I found it much nicer than the Vantablack which has a strong mirror effect that I don't really like

The Kudu strap makes the watch feel very casual and easy to wear

The color of the dial varies depending on the light, but Funky blue is really a positive and amazing shade

And here above the caliber HMC 804.  I am absolutely in πŸ’™ with the watch and feel good about having some pieces go to make space for this one. A big love for the tourbillon complication (since many years) but obviously the pricing always held me back. How do you like it ?

Thanks !
Christian

Congrats, an awesome watch and very different from the normal fare.

I personally love the contrast between the minimalist purity of the dial and technicality of the tourbillon. And this shade of Funky Blue is my absolute favorite of the Moser dial colors. Enjoy that beauty! Cheers, John

Congratulations Christian.

I too love the flying tourbillon and much prefer it to the Moser tourbillons with bridges. I have a Moser Dual Time Tourbillon in DLC titanium - the bridge in which has been described as β€œmoustached” (by Edouard Meylan - and he should know!). The kudu str...

gorgeous piece πŸ‘ thanks for the pics and your comments

A model I didn't see yet, I am familiar with the fume grey (have it in my Swiss Alps from Moser) but for the tourbillon I really wanted something lighter like the funky blue !

Looks great!

Nice addition, a funky dial and tourbillon. You work fast, that other thread was just the other day!

thank you πŸ‘ haha yes fast because I asked the AD before what was in stock..and narrowed down to this

could get a good deal so was worth to do it quickly πŸ‘

The strap is also great

Good you make the decision. Congratulations. I know H Moser make hair springs for other watch brands. Good you give information about the strap. A timeless color and grain. Good you do not listen to the critical words and bought the watch you want. I pers...

to me Tourbillon on the back (Patek, Laurent Ferrier) is absurd. Why hide the beauty ..as you said. Let's not forger that a tourbillon by these brands is also much much more expensive

Thank you FabRπŸ‘ much appreciated ...I did see this type of dial (with and without tourbillon) throghout the year..

 By: christianch : January 19th, 2023-19:34
frankly I always wanted a tourbillon as it is something very different thant what I already have but was always held back by the price πŸ˜… I did let some other watches go so was a bit of a sacrifice but well worth it ..no regrets!

thanks a lot !! yes color makes a big difference !! look forward to see your purple ones too!

I think Moser also had a Purple Haze dial sometime ago!

Congrats on that purchase! It looks great on you!

This watch has a famous complication, it is typically Moser without being too 'funky' (sorry for pun), it is technically advanced and innovative, it is pure but still a bit crazy, enough to stay interesting! Have fun with it, enjoy every revolution Cheers...

thank you Alex πŸ‘ pure but crazy and funky is well appropriate !

amazing how some changes like strap etc. do change the usual perception of a tourbillon watch

Huge congrats.

Excellent catch, always a big fan of the brand and especially these fume dials and yours has a amazing bonus. Fantastic tourbillon

My pleasure, mon ami.

Glad you went with the funky blue.πŸ‘ŒπŸ½

πŸ‘thank you ! I can actually reveal that one of the watches I sold is the Venturerer Vantablack

 By: christianch : January 19th, 2023-23:47
so it was clear in my mind that I wouldn't go for vantablack again for the tourbillon πŸ˜…

You'll spend a lot of time looking at the rotating escapement

Sounds like a cartoon robot commercial 😁

thank you πŸ‘is always a pleasure to look at the rotating tourbillon πŸ’™

very nice contrast to the simple dial !

thank you πŸ‘it does matter sometimes but more before I buy πŸ˜…

I have always liked H. Moser watches, their originality and innovative design, the superb finishing, and their great team with a Edouard leading. You might remember that I had an Endeavour Concept in platinum at the time that it was run by a manually woun...

Thank you MIke!πŸ‘I also had a non fume Endeavour (called Monard back then) date in WG and I did let it go for..

the same reason!! it was very tough to wind ! Always wanted a tourbillon but had to let 5 watches go to be able to get it πŸ˜…but it was well worth it! not just for the money but also to be mentally free to let something (that I didn't wear a lot) go. Among ...
