Moser Streamliner Tourbillon Vantablack

Dear friends,
I had the opportunity to have a first look at the new Moser Streamliner Tourbillon Vantablack.

I asked my AD if there was a chance to see this beauty in reality, and they said: “Yes, come immediately!”

My first thoughts:
I loved this watch when I first saw it on the internet. The features are impressive.

A tourbillon that can also work as a daily beater.

Case size 40mm in 5N red gold, sapphire crystal, enough lume, WR 12 ATM and an integrated bracelet in red gold with folding clasp.

The watch wears heavy.

I love the concept and the features. But the RG was too “feminine” for me. It looked like in the direction of rosé and doesn't work with the color of my skin. But that’s just my personal feeling.

The Vantablack dial with the tourbillon that seems to float over the dial is very impressing. Also how they fixed the indices on the Vantablack dial.

It does not work. Something about the case shape and metal and hands and dial... basically I can't single out any one thing, but not my favorite. Would rather VCO tourbillon for this type of watch. Have not seen in person though.

It's the same with the 15500 vs 15202, main reason i prefer the 15202 is proportions just look right.

I'm not a fan. The case and bracelet, while interesting, do not appeal to me design-wise. Rose gold makes it too flashy and the tourbillon looks out of place.

For me it’s respect for the new owner to use the plastic. I would have been allowed to remove it if I would have asked. And I won’t buy this watch. That’s for sure. 😉

Thanks a lot for sharing this Thomas --- while I'm more of a fan of the earlier, time-only iteration (simpler and more....Moser! ;-), I find Vantablack a very interesting solution for a dial! I'd be curious to see one in person one day! ;-) Cheers.

Definitely -- a nicer case (in my view), a design much more consistent with Moser's message, and the more discreet hands help focus completely on the beauty and power of this dial! ;-) Cheers.

I have and love the blue chrono Streamliner, but agree with the others that this one doesn't feel quite right to me. Vanta is such a bold statement that it should stand on it's own. Either way, it's great to see it on someone's real wrist! Thank you!
