Personally, I don't give much weight these days as to who makes a movement for a brand even if it is a misrepresentation. For me, as long as it is finished well and performs reliably and accurately, I can be bought. Okay, okay, of course there are other considerations too when buying a watch like my infamous size criteria and how well it suits the wrist but because way too many companies boast of having proprietary movements, the notion of an in house movement has become less exclusive and almost a norm.
