But watches - and other things - usually "don't go missing",
Baggage on an airline is usually recovered, after a day or week or two.

what a horror story. I don't know what the transport and insurance cost, but I think the price of a flight to pick up the watch personally may be a worthwhile investment just in peace of mind. I hope they find your watch and that this turns out well. Don
