Christiaan Van Der Klaauw is a Dutch independent specializing in astronomical automatons and time pieces. They have been around for a while. They don’t get much love (not Swiss or German) and not enough people know about them. I’m not sure why that’s the case. This is their simplest watch in terms of movement, but I always liked the overall execution. I’ve swapped out their deployment band for something a bit more exotic as I wanted a bit of fun.
The 12 o’clock Sun is normally blued steel and I had them make mine gold (easier to see in a dark room).
This is inded a good looker.
Sorry that I can't recognize the brand. Could you share a little more (size, metal, etc.)? it's quite unique.

Was there some controversy
With the brand? US dealers don’t seem to have any interest in representing them. And you never hear anyone talking about the brand. It seems too strange.
