A new Josh Shapiro

Jan 09, 2021,21:28 PM

I received my Josh Shapiro Infinity watch today.  It’s stunning.  There are a few special features of the watch that are worth highlighting.

The dial is ruthenium and the way it plays with light is mesmerizing.

The numerals on the chapter ring are heat blued and match the heat blued hands.  The numerals were first hand engraved.  Josh then heat blued the entire chapter ring and brushed it.  All that remained blue were the numerals. Again, the interplay between these numerals and the light is fascinating.  At times they appear black, at other times, bright blue.

The caseback is engine turned and engraved with a Lithuanian snake called Žaltys, king of the grass snakes, a symbolic protector of the family.  It’s coiled in the shape of an infinity sign to reference the watch.

Well done, Mr. Shapiro.

It looks great. The caseback is also very interesting. Do you also get a display caseback?

I did not.

The UWD movement is beautiful and very well made but not the focus of the watch in my opinion. I wanted to cover as much real estate with engine turning and engravings

Congrats Cozmo on acquiring this beauty

The guilloching is a bit like Breguet and early Daniel Roth, old school but very classical... Is the movement an UWD? I would love to see a picture from the movement as well.. What is the diameter of the watch? Yours, Adam

Diameter is 40mm
