Why Hublot?

Dear forumners,

Some time back, we opened a Hublot forum here on PuristSPro to one or two quizzical eyebrows raised.

Remember this was when the most discussion was what colour of dial and hands the next Big Bang would be

What people may not know is that PuristSPro had been "in the back room" with Mr J-C Biver to see what was coming up in R&D. Of course, he could not reveal everything but there were sufficient 'branches' on their R&D tree for PuristS to become interested in Hublot-future-forward. Hence....the forum was opened.

Since then, Hublot has acquired a manufacture and much of the R&D team at BNB -- their specialised suppliers -- and some of the products are coming through.

Now, with the minute repeaters and Antikythera appearing, we can reveal the PuristS justification and -- "watch this space"; there is more to come..........

It's been a year and a half and the progress Hublot has made is just staggering. There are always both-side opinions, but this MR is really well done. Sure, there are also always things to improve (for any brand!), and Hublot is going for the right direct...

Yes the sound is loud but I didn't find it that pure. I should have to listen to it again. And asthetically speaking, it is not my cup of tea. Actually, I found the case too "crude" while the dial is much more convincing. Thanks a lot for the presentation...

I saw one picture of it at Basel 2012 and was wondering if they would ever produce it....They DID !!! I love the whole concept of it !! Now I just need to find the money to get it ..... :-)

. . . to the acoustic signature, Ken? There's at least one loudspeaker manufacturer, Wilson Benesch in the U K, that produces enclosures with carbon fiber for purely acoustic considerations.

I have 1 enclosure in carbon fiber and it really sounds great. It may be the same for accoustic in MR. Kind regards, Francois
