Dear forumners, Some time back, we opened a Hublot forum here on PuristSPro to one or two quizzical eyebrows raised. Remember this was when the most discussion was what colour of dial and hands the next Big Bang would be What people may not know is that P...  

It's been a year and a half and the progress Hublot has made is just staggering. There are always both-side opinions, but this MR is really well done. Sure, there are also always things to improve (for any brand!), and Hublot is going for the right direct... 

Great sound. Waterproof. Very interesting aesthetic looks. Great sound, good speed, good tone. Carbon fiber case sounds pretty good. Thanks for the video Ken!

Yes the sound is loud but I didn't find it that pure. I should have to listen to it again. And asthetically speaking, it is not my cup of tea. Actually, I found the case too "crude" while the dial is much more convincing. Thanks a lot for the presentation... 

... hopefully comparing with other MRs. But it may all come down to his/her taste Pardon the case - there are other versions. It is Big Bang! Ken (Sp. typo edit) ...

I saw one picture of it at Basel 2012 and was wondering if they would ever produce it....They DID !!! I love the whole concept of it !! Now I just need to find the money to get it ..... :-)

. . . to the acoustic signature, Ken? There's at least one loudspeaker manufacturer, Wilson Benesch in the U K, that produces enclosures with carbon fiber for purely acoustic considerations.

I am almost positive Hublot used the carbon fiber to enhance the acoustic characteristics. They know what they are doing! :)

... I will check with Hublot and get back to you.... But when it comes to MR, more important is the material of the hammer and the gong - has been my understanding..... Some say, SS is the best. Now, what the case material does to the sound is something I... 

.. Platinum or Gold versions. But, like you said, the low density of carbon case make it sound louder (not necessarily better, though) - Hublot R&D team. Ken

I have 1 enclosure in carbon fiber and it really sounds great. It may be the same for accoustic in MR. Kind regards, Francois
