I agree with your comparison between ROO and Hublot, with respect to the lug and strap bending. I, too, gave up on RO as well as ROO for that reason, thanks to my small wrist. 41mm normally sounds too big for me, but as you well said, Hublot doesn't wear ... 

Ping, Thanks for the review. As an admirer of the classic Crocco-era Hublot on Rubber watch, I am always a litle wary of anything with the words "Big" or "Bang" in the name. :-) I just want to make very sure about this being a ...gasp....Mens' watch (?!?)... 

...it wasn't specifically a ladies watch - meaning that they don't seem to market it as a "ladies" watch as they do some of their other more colorful ones. I'm sure that when they designed it, they did so with the female buyer in mind :) Sorry to confuse ...

so I'll answer that one for her. The watch came on a lady's rubber strap and it was a perfect fit. No cutting of the rubber strap was involved That's the first time ever that Ping didn't need any adjustment in the strap. Usually I need to punch 2 or 3 mor...  

I have owned several Big Bangs over the years and the strap / clasp / adjustability and subsequent comfort is second to none.

I have to tell you that I know men who wear this watch! I like the combo black dial and set bezel and there are a lot of nice details like on the folding clasp. Thanks a lot Ping for this great reviw as usual! Fx

.....didn't blatantly label it as a women's watch. There are men who like diamonds too :)

Didn't know that Hublot spent so much time and money into the research and development of their rubber straps. Will have to pay more attention to those rubber straps the next time I wear an Hublot. Thanks for sharing your impressions Ping! I have a simila...

It does have metal reinforcement as you mention but it is executed much differently than the AP you compare to. The Hublot strap can be bent straight down from those lugs; that is simply impossible on an AP w/ the plot system. AP's croco and leather strap...
