In Singapore:
Bad: Cars cost 3 to 4 times MORE than in the USA.
Good: We have cctv almost ALL over every square foot, because we are smaller than the entire size of a University campus in the USA.
Bad: We cannot keep cars. After 10 years, we have to pay about $100K usd, approx., for say 2023, just to KEEP that car for another 10 years, this repeats itself every 10 years...even if you own an Altis Toyota or a Rolls.
I paid $80,000 usd for my Toyota rav4, and in 2009, I paid another $67,000 usd just so I can keep it till 2019.
