Welcome here, Jared. I have no 7750 in my collection, but I have its manual brother 773x.
In some excellent military watches, such as Hamilton, the Royal Navy one.
You will find the same manual movement in the Tudor Homeplate, ref 7032, which is very sought after.
The problem of the 775x and 773x? They don't have a column wheel, but cams for the chronograph function.
Less sexy, less sophisticated, but not less reliable, as far as I know.

To your question, I suppose I have two...the IWC Portuguese Chronograph and my trusty Muhle Glashutte chronograph.

Thank you for the welcome. I knew IWC used the 7750 but didn't know Glashutte did. I have the 7750 in a Panerai and a breitling.
Muhle Glashutte is one of the many brands from Glashutte.
The 7750 is a proven workhorse and many brands use them as you already know.

Great to hear a little about the 773x. I don't think the cams take away from the reliable at all. Do you think the use the cams cause it makes servicing the movement easier?

A chronometer-grade version. Regrettably, my eyes have become bad enough to take the fun out of wearing a chronograph.
I don't have a 7750 anymore . . .
. . . but did, for a few years, ensconced in a Fortis Flieger. That watch was given (yes, as 'away'!) to a friend, who's had it ever since. He's got a few watches, including a vintage Rolex, but the Fortis . . . . . . is the most accurate, still runs well...

As to the Valjoux reference I need to dig around but my Rolex Tudor Monte Carlo 7159 has a Valjoux movement if memory serve me right but not the 7750 workhorse. Welcome to the forum. Bill
