One of my favourite (and cheapest) watches in the Collection. Comes with the same movement used in the Paul Newman Daytona (the Valjoux 72).... And just look at the condition of both dial and movement... Compared to the corrosion, discolouration and water...

It was originally on the CORRECT side having been picked up in 1963 at Pon's Holland in the Netherlands by a US Serviceman perhaps...? It then resided with him in Hollywood LA until it was imported to Perth Australia in 1989 by a Dealer and converted to R...  

The mid '60's Gigandet Wakmann seems a bit closer to the 1963 'Birth Date' of the 356.....? ...

No connection to Halcro Amplifiers other than having owned th em for 20 years...... I also use that name for all my Forums and have a YouTube Video Channel where I demonstrate and compare various phono cartridges... Can't get the Audiogon or YouTube Links...
