This should be a mind boggling dilemma for most

but for me it is quite easy as I am a bit of a ruthless bugger!
Question one - from my current collection, the watch that I would keep would be the Moritz Grossmann piece unique that I won at an auction last year. This watch was to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the brand and I love the simplicity of the enamel dial and the super fine hands. The fact that this is a piece unique gives it an unfair advantage over the other watches that I do have.
Question two - you did not mention new or used so I would go for the Patek Philippe 5029R released in 1997 as a limited edition of ten pieces to commemorate Patek's new building. This is a beautiful minute repeater with Breguet hands and numerals and exemplifies class and elegance. If it was a new watch currently in production, it would be the Patek Philippe 5531R - lovely enamel dial, minute repeater, world timer.
The Moritz Grossmann - this is arguably how a watch should look like!
The Patek 5029R - maybe just maybe......
The Patek 5531R - I can only dream!
