Petit Heure Minute Relief Dragon
With the beginning of the Chinese Year of the Dragon of course and particularly J*D could not miss this opportunity, with the Chinese market historically being of considerable importance.
The company did so with an impressive objet d’art showcasing their immense handicraft skills:
A silent ocean crafted from tranquil Mother of Pearl suddenly begins boiling and in this entire conundrum a veritable dragon emerges. This literally pushes the boundaries of this watch, as the fierce animal seems to target directly at your face:
It must have been difficult to encage the beast with sufficiently strong sapphire! The dragon is as powerful as to penetrate the entire movement:
Let’s just hope the ‘strings are attached well’!
Diameter, btw, is only 41mm.
Petit Heure Minute 35
Again not a novelty, as it was available before. For us it was the first time we saw it in the metal and to take our own pictures. The case has a diameter of 35mm and the watch has an automatic movement with 68h power reserve.
The first we’d like to show is the Aventurine version:
The azure blue stone of the Petite Heure Minute Aventurine is somehow magical and very nice to look at (and very difficult to photograph properly!).
Together with the leather strap it could be a beautiful companion on a (modern) ladies wrist, for almost all occasions. It is wearable and “eclectic”, without being “flashy”.
Shown here on a ladies wrist (thanks to Ms Kirkorian!) and as you can see it is very pure, somehow poetic and it fits very well.
A second version is made of Mother of Pearl:
The second version we saw shows a beautiful (bluish) mother of pearl dial with sunray structure and with stars.
It was on a bracelet. We can’t tell you the specific name of it and couldn’t even find it in the official press database. Sorry!
The watch itself is nice and the bracelet fitted perfect on “our” ladies wrist (see pictures). The bracelet is very “shiny” and I have my doubts how it will look after some time of “frequent” wearing. On the other side a bracelet in general should be very welcome in markets with high humidity.
