I like the way you think, Ping … cremated remains seem like the perfect target for RJ. Piece Unique, grieving relatives happy to pay a premium. Long term keepsake.
And what better way to preserve your favourite watch fanatic than in his/her own watch?!
Not sure if I will be suggesting this to my family or putting it in my Last Will and Testament however.

...taking special orders and having the blood of a loved one somehow incorporated into the case or dial material? Or on an even creepier note, the cremated remains of a passed loved one? That would defnitely be a piece unique.

this thought is not so unreal as you can make ashes into diamond
i saw a documentary on it a few years ago. there is at least one company that will take your loved ones ashes and by some very clever process turn it into a diamond that you can then mount in a ring. talk about being worth more dead than alive Graham

Homeopathic watches already exist (in abundance...)...
they are called dummies: hollow cases with dials and hands, but no movements. You see them in Basel quite often, although with the emergence of CAD they are seen less frequent... Cheers, Magnus

It would be VERY difficult but perhaps some are in private collections and could be purchased. Imagine the "Magna Carta" watch or the "dead seas scrolls" watch. Brandon They would certainly be cool!
