Here is a few, Nicolas, that I would personally place above the ref 6111 in my Longines pantheon.
I must say that the choice of the picture that illustrate your point is a bit unfortunate. As pointed out, wrong second hands, mismatch of case back/ lug numbers and the circumstances of the auction sale. Indeed a watch that was available, for all to see for many years by a well known merchant, that watch auctioned for a record price a couple of weeks later… Let's move on.
Here is my list, without any particular order of preference. I could actually go further back in time. Longines indeed made some splendid wristwatches in the immediate post-WW1, both chronographs and time only.
- Siderograph (indeed)
- Rrf 6059, cal 14.68Z chronometer
- Cal 360 chronometer (the one from the Longines museum would suit me nicely)
- 13ZN12 ref. 23086
- 13ZN12 ref. 23297
- 13ZN MP ref. 2010
- 13 ZN with 'sandwich' dial
- 13 ZN 'tre tacche'
- Chronograph type A7
- 30CH large case early 50'd rose gold screw back
- Japanese Weems, B&W dial steel case
- Israeli Air Force chronograph, cal. 12.68
- Lindberg, preferably with green/ pistachio scale
Best
