while I absolutely second your choice of a "simple" watch - while I love complicated pieces at the same time - I disagree with your "rule" about movement choice.
While it may sound like a "pure" way to look at it - one should also consider that many of the fines movements with roots before let's say 1930 originally
were intended as pocket watch movements (even though this were ladies PW movements at times).
Longines has made some very nice chronometers originally for the wrist as well - although very hard to find.
Many if not all older movements above 12''' almost always are originally made for PW - so, many of your favorite pieces would be equipped with PW movements.
The siderograph below for example is equipped with a 18''' movement ca. 37.9 if I'm not mistaken).
