Thanks for all your comments....

You guys are great, surely both watches have their own charm and reasons to have. One point is good to know, that they both shared the same movement, I wasn't aware of this. Personally I would go for AP blue dial, to complete my AP RO collection. After a week on the prowl (net-surfing) and reading many comments from VC and AP, the decision has been reached and I am getting an AP but not the one selected, it will be another rare and limited ROO JPM edition. I don't quite like the white dial but it is different to other AP dial and the racing DNA sewn me in. Thanks again for all the through-puts... As for VC, Overseas I don't like the 2016 version at all...

Which one to get...

It's easy to set the target to get one brand, but when I have to decide to choose only one out of two, and they are both reputable and iconic in their own rights, it sure is difficult, especially price-wise are almost the same. To get the AP Royal Oak chr...

That is a difficult one...

... those two are very different - I think the price difference explains itself since the RO comes on bracelet and the VC does not. Here\'s a better picture of the VC: Very close to the VC Overseas Deep Stream, which I owned for a while and enjoyed a lot....

Already have the 15202ST... [nt]

Without a shadow of a doubt the VC. This is the best iteration of the overseas and wears so well!

Can\'t go wrong either way but since you already have a 15202 going VC seem sensible perhaps?

overseas chrono vs ROC

The overseas chrono vs. ROC is an interesting matchup that illustrates a basic principle of WISdom. Brands are known and recognized for certain watches and it is best and safest to stick to the iconic models from each brand. In AP's case its the Royal Oak...

i've never seen the VC live,

but i can tell you that the bleu dial of the AP is absolut breathtaking..

That would be a VERY tough choice

But one thing for sure is that if you MISS the VC, you might have hard time finding it again, given the limited edition of 340 pieces while the RO chrono should be available in reasonable quantity. Good luck and let us know which way you go!

Easy choice for me - the AP Royal Oak Chronograph

 By: AnthonyTsai : February 23rd, 2016-11:12
Why? Because I've always thought the Vacheron Overseas Chronograph has an awkward design. I feel VC tries to be "sporty" with this sports watch but it still looks very conservatively designed. - Anthony

If I were you...

I'd get the AP with absolutely not doubts as all. Best of luck!

Actually they are more alike than many know

Here is what is not commonly known. Both of these watches use the Blancpain 1185 chronograph movement. Of course Vacheron adds a large date in place of the standard small date. Otherwise they are the same.

Look at he RO's date

Almost in the middle of the dial. frightening

I prefer the VC.

The AP on the bracelet seems less versatile for various occasions.

I much prefer the AP chronograph...

I like its blue dial and I'm not a fan of the date window on the Vacheron. Having said that, you can't be wrong with any. Fx
