... those two are very different - I think the price difference explains itself since the RO comes on bracelet and the VC does not.
Here's a better picture of the VC:
Very close to the VC Overseas Deep Stream, which I owned for a while and enjoyed a lot. You can add a bracelet to it, which works just fine and is extremely comfortable, a bit more than the RO bracelet.
My personal favourite when it comes to the RO would be the classic 15202, but since you seem to prefer a chronograph and you like a splash of colour, here is an alternative:
Anyway, they are all great choices. If it was me to decide between the two you introduced, I'd go for the Overseas ;-)

Without a shadow of a doubt the VC. This is the best iteration of the overseas and wears so well!
Can\'t go wrong either way but since you already have a 15202 going VC seem sensible perhaps?

i've never seen the VC live,
but i can tell you that the bleu dial of the AP is absolut breathtaking..
That would be a VERY tough choice
But one thing for sure is that if you MISS the VC, you might have hard time finding it again, given the limited edition of 340 pieces while the RO chrono should be available in reasonable quantity. Good luck and let us know which way you go!
Easy choice for me - the AP Royal Oak Chronograph
Why? Because I've always thought the Vacheron Overseas Chronograph has an awkward design. I feel VC tries to be "sporty" with this sports watch but it still looks very conservatively designed. - Anthony
Actually they are more alike than many know
Here is what is not commonly known. Both of these watches use the Blancpain 1185 chronograph movement. Of course Vacheron adds a large date in place of the standard small date. Otherwise they are the same.

I much prefer the AP chronograph...
I like its blue dial and I'm not a fan of the date window on the Vacheron. Having said that, you can't be wrong with any. Fx
