Thank you Peter, and thank you all. . .

. . .I consider it a great privilege to be able to work with you all in nurturing our community. 

Sometimes a friend will ask me, 'why are you guys so obsessed with watches?'  I like to think that at its best horology is about much more than telling the time, or displaying one's taste or affluence.  At its best I think horology is the most philosophical of the crafts.  A watch is not only a tool, it's also an expression of how we feel about time, about our relationship to it, and thus about ourselves.  It's in that spirit that I look forward to continuing to share with you all our love for horology.

ThePuristS is a lively, dynamic community today because of the people who come here, and I look forward to serving you all in the months and years to come.

Thank you all so much for your expressions of welcome and confidence.  This is going to be fun :-) .
