Thank you for the review, Patrick. I'm pleased to say I'll be collecting my order of the all-steel date Tonda GT this week.

Parmigiani Fleurier has carried forward some signature design features in this line. These include the coin-edge bezel from the Toric, elements of the dial from the Aerolithe and Chronor, and the teardrop lugs from across their lines. It's packaged all of this within a form that has quite a traditional overall appearance (which appeals to me) and yet novel (compared to Parmigiani Fleurier's other offerings). I'm looking forward to experience the integrated bracelet as well, which I understand is very good indeed.
The more I've studied the brand, the more I appreciate them: their ethos, structure, role played within the Swiss watchmaking industry, the youth of their workforce, their patience and modesty, low volume (6,000 watches a year), low-key approach to marketing, commitment to giving (ref the 'Helping Heroes' initiative earlier this year), and strong relationships with their sales points. A company can do a lot with being independent - not always benign - but it does appear as though Parmigiani Fleurier goes about its work in a dignified, conscientious manner.
Since the release of the GT Tondagraphe and GT Black, Parmigiani Fleurier has expanded this line with small-batch variants. This has mostly happened without fanfare, so it will be interesting to see how these watches fare.
