Silver for me!
My wife has a white metal ban in the house (though she owns and wears a beautiful WG Breguet 8828!) No platinum allowed either as she complains it looks too much like steel. LOL!
I have found vintage silver watches have a fascinating patina and look that really not even platinum can replicate. It is an unused case metal nowadays, though Tudor recently released one, and I would love to see more manufactures jump on that band wagon.

I'm a fan of all white metals, especially WG.
I agree and every time I put watches in a group, it makes me feel happy.
WG has evolved with different formula by each brand, it's nice too.
Superb foursome -- so diverse that they are hard to compare, but the beauty and iconic status of the 5196P within the "previous" Calatrava generation wins my vote! ;-)
As for P vs. G, it obviously depends on the watch....but all other things being equal (which is rarely the case), the charm of Platinum for me is unmatched! Cheers.

I'm a fan of Pt, I love the heft of it. I'm a big fan for the 5196p and along with the 5960p it is a great twin to own from PP. Best, mahesh.,

Yes that Tudor Ag is quite attractive, and so are dials made by modern Omegas, their Silver Snoopy and CK 859.
Platinum for dress and steel for sport.
A nice selection of watches you've got there. The 5196P dial with classic Breguet numerals is the one that's endured (and will continue to endure). Perhaps the next time Patek uses it they will match it to a more worthy movement. The Lange moonphase fuses...

Love all white metals, but platinum does have the weight which makes wearing all the more enjoyable. I will abstain from highlighting my favourites. 😉

I don't have any platinum, but love the weight/solidness. But have been adding more colored metals/dials.
Colored metals are nice too, especially YG is still coming strong these past years.

I remember when you started with the Lange Honey Gold! It was the time I got the same in Platinum! For many years white gold/platinum were my favourite. Now my #1 favourite is Yellow Gold. So fantastic and classic.
