Serious Question How hard is it to resist buying a new watch?
Dec 13, 2018,16:19 PM
Now when I decided to join this lovely forum I knew it wouldn't be like the others out there.
Its safe for me to say, the watches people have here aren't your typical run of the mill Mall or department store brands which is why its one reason I like being a member.
Please keep in mind I don't have any local watch boutiques or high-end jewelers so I have to rely on books, magazines and well forums.
Now I understand most well a lot here can afford just about any watch or watches without having to think twice about the cost, and brand.
Then you have people like me who can only someday dream of owning that one grail piece. But then we realize that day will or may never come and it could be for a lot of reasons like Cost? Band?
Time and Patience and lastly will it be something I still want if and when I get it.
Now when I decide to get a new watch it's not about the brand or style or size that makes me think
Should I buy this? It's more about cost. For the past two weeks now I've been smitten with some will hate Invicta Russian Diver with a decorated Unitas 6498 which makes it more special for me for two reasons.
1) To the untrained eye, most will just think its a two-hand quartz and
2) Its a watch I've was chasing for over a decade. But now with Christmas within 12 days I'm back online searching for a new watch again.
I was hoping after I received the watch I've been hunting for, for a decade it would be over?
I just can't stop looking for that next watch purchase its gotten so bad I wonder if I have a sickness?
Should I see someone who can snap me out of it? Or just learn to control my urges?
