Now when I decided to join this lovely forum I knew it wouldn't be like the others out there. Its safe for me to say, the watches people have here aren't your typical run of the mill Mall or department store brands which is why its one reason I like being...

I will just repeat what I’ve told a lot of other people who just started this journey: if cost is really an issue and you can’t resist the watch bug, buy 3 brands: Seiko, Nomos, Sinn. You won’t regret. And this is what I’m doing all the time to fill up th...

I always set my eyes out for my next watch... then the watch after... and the watch after that. I really need to exercise discipline. One way is to buy it on installment plan even if I have the cash now. And not to buy anything until the previous one is f... 

But the urges do change once you’ve scratched the itch often enough

Now, as for solutions, I have none. There is always another one, and another one. My way of dealing with this issue is to only buy a watch when there is a special occasion to mark it. That way, each watch is associated with a special moment/place/achievem...

As others have said if you can be disciplined enough to hold off on some of the lesser purchases so that money can be accumulated for a larger purchase then this may be a good idea. We have a way of justifying 10 purchases at $300 over a period of time wh...
