I spent some time “networking” or shall I really state venting my frustration with a couple of these boutiques over today’s crazy environment. When I walked into the GS Boutique, I stated, “Wow! Look at all these exhibition pieces!” The manager laughed and replied, “Oh, you must be a serious watch collector!”

But, the highlight of my trip was the opportunity to meet Art (i.e. Dr No) in person! He and his friends tried their best to provide some tips on improving my poor pool skills!

Of course, he was wearing vintage Omega:

Thank you Art for your warm hospitality and I hope we will meet again as we start to return to some degree of normalcy! I greatly appreciated our time together. Cheers my friend!

Kind Regards,
Mark

Like 'em all, thanks for sharing . That Girard Perregaux is spectacular.

Thanks, Thomas!

I’m hoping GP’s new “independence” will low them to re-focus their efforts with some emphasis on their 1945 collection.

Next time... In Paris!

No, none of them will come home from this trip, yet! But, after seeing the Marine 5517, I’m hunting for a Marine 5817, preferably on a rubber strap: ...

A beauty!

I try to do the same when I’m abroad… but it’s been a long time since I travelled anywhere. Glad to see you had fun!

Our Dr. No is a special fella!

Dr. No can be Dangerous to the wallet sometimes... He once took me into an Omega store and talked to me about vintage Omegas... Now, years later, I have a hard time looking away. And our Dr. No is an extremely wonderful fellow. A true PuristS!

Yes! Very evidently!

Indeed!

Holy Moly! How'd you find any time for pool!?!

You know you've had a great vacation . . .

. . . when you need another to rest ;-) . . .

LOL!

I hope the good Dr. treated you to a nice meal.

At least as nice as the one he's tempting everyone here with today!

Love the Seamaster, the GP & the Breguet from this bunch...

For me, but some many fine pieces shown here.

I love the refinements to the Seamaster 300 MC!

But, I will probably go for the black dial on a bracelet!

Master Co-Axial

There’s no difference between the two other than bezel / dial color. Here’s the previous generation: ...

Thank you! 👍

This is eye candy and thank you for taking the time to wear and show us all these wonderful pieces!!

I think my favourites are the VC, GO sixties CAE, vintage looking Omega seamster, PAM, Explorer 2s, and Dr No's vintage Omega! Oh and that Tudor you had on your wrist too!

LOL! It’s difficult to choose a favorite!

 By: Mach : February 18th, 2022-21:19
I can fully appreciate that!

Might as well throw in the GP 1945 Infinity

 By: Gregineugene : February 19th, 2022-02:58
I could happily live with that and almost nothing else (if I didn't need a beater...and since I'm in construction when I say beater I mean it!)

It also exists..
