I am in essence a time only sorta guy. Simplicity works for me, but I do enjoy certain complications such as chronographs. Increasingly gravitating towards precious metal especially white and rose gold for their warmth. Manual wind for me over autos. Bracelet over straps, however most of my manual winding watches are without bracelets. In short, for everyday I gravitate towards Rolex (GMT seems to be my favorite these days). On days I wanna wear something a bit more special I will wear an independent or my Patek 5970R/Lange Datograph RG Mark I.

The only difference, not a paradigm as I do like the occasional automatic for something that you take off a few days and put back on. Or on a trip just something to have on. But for enthusiast pieces , this is the way.

1. Either, but should be beautiful. and I'm a sucker for long power reserve. That would be my tie-breaker. 2. No date. 3. Strap, bracelet okay but picky and buckle/clasps must be thin! 4. Ti or Rose/Pink Gold, Steel is third.

It's not a dealbreaker, but I can easily do without the date.
The rest is pretty much either choice s OK, which could be determined by the watch.

manual, no date, bracelet, stainless steel. But I am fine with automatic movement.

Depends on the use. At work I prefer with date, since I often check it.
Off working hours I prefer without. Manual, strap, white metal (don't bother which).

Likewise manual, no date, strap and base metal, with a preference for titanium. But looking at my collection, I am far from sticking to this, with perhaps the exception of strap - that does seem to be a common feature 😂🤷🏻♂️
