. . . but this variation on a theme also has it's merits. The Stowa that I'm quite enamored of at the moment is a limited edition from a few years back that mimics the dial design of '50s Omega Constellations and comes equipped with a movement that origin... 

(here for contrast) - ....but for this proliferation of classic marine dials in the modern era one suspects that Dirk Dornbluth also has a lot to answer for. Which is the LE Stowa that has your interest, Art? Cheers, pplater....

This is an old Gubelin 18K YG. Note the case design which is "pointed" at 3 and 9 o'clock positions. It houses a Piguet 99 calibre. Very quiet - looks like my weekend is going to be. Have a great Friday. Best Regards - PeterZ...

yep, the petrograd 2004 Omega museum piece. rose gold, co-axial cosc. lovely feel to it and a classic shape from 1915. i was lucky enough to own an original 1916 version in silver until recently. G
