thinking not only about example #3 of your pictures but the others as well.
I am indeed talking about Example Three, This one of Vianney's major works - the Pt Antiqua - which I am actually wearing right now.
What he needs is orders and a certain understanding well beyond those who are comparing price/value concepts within a collector's market to the real, whole-important thing.
He does not want to have his masterpieces cast into the murky sea of collectors and investors, like "pearls before the swine" - not his but a biblical phrase - or into an increasing speculative market, but to make them accesible to those with the means and who can share his vision and can truly appreciate them for what they are - with no humility -- including myself!
A work of art can (and should be) greatly inspired. But can it inspire me - as a creative person?
Does it do something within my deep, personal, angst-driven Persona? The Antiqua shows time, the cycles of time, and lives on its own - and affects me deeply, living along and internally alone, as all of us finally have to do!
Other watches show Themselves - and little else, often not even with the correct, readable, presentable time.
