1 rule : You are not allowed to have already a watch from that brand
So, 3 brands, 3 models from brands you never bought before
Mine
Breguet 5207
JLC Reverso 986
Journe CS
I really love these 3 pieces but somehow I never buy them
Well, if money wasn't the problem I would buy the 3 of them in 5 minutes LOL
If money was not an issue, I am sure that number of us would go out and purchase 3 or even 4 watches.
All three of the watches you seem to like are great watches.
I hope that one day you at least get one of them.
Best regards,
George
The big brand which misses in my collection is GP, and I will own one, for sure.
A Vintage 45 Chrono, like this one:
Or, if I have the funds, this one, in platinum:
The 2 other brands I still don't have?
I think that a KV or a De Bethune would mae my day, IF I was sure of their perennity ( why buying a watch from a Company which risks to disappear after 10 or 15 years, without any possibility to service it? ).
A Droz Super Compressor or a Bulova Diving watch, the one which didn't held the Military Specifications in the early Sixties would be another great option, or the Vintage Tissot Navigator ( World Time one ).
Best,
Nicolas.
Money-no-object watches from brands I don't own are easy ...

But achievable watches from brands I don't own would include ...

of the first watch in you post? I don't think I have ever seen anything like it. Do you have any straight on pics? Thanks,
Stewart
This is Beat Haldimann's H1 flying central tourbillon. Hand made without the use of CNC machines. The large balance and tourbillon cage set up a type of resonance and the watch literally 'sings'. And then you should have a look at the H2 Resonance and H8 (Sculptura).
Horology as art.
The stuff of dreams ...
Haldimann H1

... Graham and Nicolas, that Beat was born in 1964 ...
For me the H1 could be the ultimate 1964 watch for the collection, Graham!
Start saving ...

When watches that are clasically styled and conservative have a hole cut in the dial in order to show a tourbillon, it ruins the dial in my opinion. This works, though. The dial is not interupted due to the mechanism being on top of it and centrally located. As you said, a great combo of art and technical experitise. Thank you for the pictures.

That's certainly part of the magic, Stewart. Here are a couple more shots of the H8 by Valentin Blank which shows this beautifully. As much as I like the Omega skeletonised central tourbillon, there is NO competition with the Haldimann, IMVHO!

If you look carefully, the H1 illustrated is a special tribute edition and not "just an ordinary H1"
There are modifications inspired by PuristS. One clue is the red font for numerals I, VII and VIII as the lucky numbers 1-7-8 for PuristS.

It is amazing what some wine, whisky and cigars can do to stimulate conversation with the watchmaker present......

There is the Chocolate Frog from the PuristS 10th collection......

It could be hopping to the Antipodes !

maybe there were only 5 persons at dinner?
Probably wrong reason as one guy got 2 watches......

and all are pictured in the above shot.
And no, there were four because I only asked four people to join me in "launching" ThePuristS' Edition. There were quite a few more who wanted to join in, after the fact.
I am the one who suggested the flatter bezel and domed crystal, to "showcase" the central tourbillon - why 'hide" the unique view of the raised tourbillon, side on, in action, with a flat crystal and high bezel, as was the original design?
Hence the description, "ThePuristS Edition"
ThePuristS Edition - with dome crystal and flatter bezel - can still be ordered, but without the red "I VII VIII" which is exclusive to those four "launch" pieces, all specially numbered.
There has since been another special series variant, done by private treaty - feel free to email me for details.
