…as I mentioned my Journe CB in the answer it too saw a somewhat similar disconnect and increase in general recognizability. But I didn’t sell it.
Why? Because even at the same/similar retail prices (which was true in the early 2010s) and at similar market values towards the end of the decade the Journe just didn’t have the same level of disconnect.

Over time I fell out of love with it. I’m just not crazy about “Ice Blue” dial mixed with “chestnut brown “ bezel. Luckily the secondary market was hot when I let it go.

The weight of watches never seems to bother me. I know many don’t like heavy watches though. It’s mostly the dial color I didn’t appreciate. Baby blue is far from my favorite color 😁. Slightly too feminine for me. Just my personal opinion 👍

That decision turned out to be a genius move because look at the value now. I imagine it’s challenging (or conflicting) to think about that…
which for me is ultimately easier to just say to myself “I sincerely like having and wearing XYZ watch too much to let it go.” And for the CB, it is truly a special and beautiful a piece to let go.
