I think that green will continue to be around.
Nevertheless, the "green hype" and "me too green" of the manufacturers will calm down to some degree, I assume,
they will launch other colors to try (yellow, purple, red?), as they did when they launched salmon dials a few years ago.
IMO, the manufacurers have got to get appealing colors/shades of green to convince consumers. It's a hard color to please.
One example that I personally don't find appealing is the the Rolex green Skydweller. I was excited to take a look at it in the metal. Unfortunately, when I did, to me it looked somber and unexciting compared to the beautiful and vibrant blue-dial skydweller that is one of the best-looking dials and watches around.

Thoughtfully curated as well I might add. I never “got” the green thing until this year , when I added Sinn 556. Which is very attractive to me. I believe it’s more than a trend, and think it’s here to stay. Although less “classic” than blue if you will. ...

Yes, the truth is in the seeing. I thought I'd be wanting the blue Longines Legend diver but that blue didn't do it for me. In the picture here the green one looks great
and might be hard to resist. Nice clean no date Sinn! And that GO is amazing!

Years ago, I would make the mistake of buying without trying, even on higher priced watches. There are so many variables to online pics, light, image quality, screen output… Its crazy how different they can look in the metal! Yes, the emerald Sinn and GO ...
Yes, "underwhelming" is accurate . One more variable is how we each perceive color and certainly taste varies. I liked the idea of a Legend diver that is smaller
than my bronze/green and love blue so I thought that when I see one I will probably walk out with it. Maybe the green is the answer?
