A retrospective view on my year 2018.

 By: amanico : January 2nd, 2019-08:22
A rich year, this year, with some excellent and a few less good moments. All starts, for a watch lover and moderator, with the SIHH and its series of novelties. Was it a good SIHH? In terms of novelties, there were some highlights. Jaeger Lecoultre with t...

Nicolas - thank you for your great insightful perspective for 2018. Hope the new year will bring us fresh ideas from the watch industry - both vintage and new. Personally, I hope brands other than PP and Rolex gain some collector mindshare. Partha

Excellent retrospective Nicolas.

What a nice retrospective reflecting on 2018

BTW I had occasion to see the Polaris Geographic (1/300) at the Miami boutique this week and it is quite nice. Itโ€™s quite sporty, so I think that on the right rubber strap it would really be something.

A most impressive summary

A fruitful and eventful 2018, making time and effort to document the year is really something. I must have missed your Nov post about the story of your polaris which I will go look for it. Have a great 2019 with many more new discoveries! Best, SF

Thank you for the chronicles, Nico.

Very interesting to see what direction Mrs. Renier will go for JLC. I'd like to see them developing new, modern calibers with power reserve at least 70 hours. Also would love to see a blue dial reverso classic in GT size.

Thanks for taking us on this exciting journey, Nico!
