i'm holding off on an Archer Daos just incase my suggestion comes to fruition
i also have to be very strict with myself. vintage from 64 or unusual displays only. if i start buying just because i like the look of it i'll end up addicted with 100's of watches like i did before. i've already got a few that dont fit, but as they are grand Seiko's etc i think thats a good enough excuse
there's a great looking Seiko Superior on my fleabay watchlist new at only £126, but i cant allow myself to buy it.
you've chosen a great watch there Daos so enjoy it when it arrives.
best
Graham

We have a tendency to talk about grail watches we love (a Journe Tourbillon of almost any iteration for me), but these tend, almost by definition, to be somewhat out of reach, at least in the short term. I would like to hear about the next watch you are a...

And so many others which are in my wish list... 2 Rolex: A 5508, for its purity ( due to the lack of crown guards ). Not this one, but a very close: A 1675, a recent one, but with such an awesome coherent patina that this watch sings loud to me, very loud...

I appreciate your vote of confidence in my choice. It's good that you've designated parameters for your collection. I think that's an effective way to make sure you pick up only watches that are truly meaningful to you. Cheers, Daos

One year ago I was offered a RM11 Le Mans ,but I had to turn it down, because of a big purchase I did at that time (Lange DatoPerp). Since then this is hunting me and I decided to go ahead for it. Unfortunately, last week Lange presented the Zeitwerk and ...

I found this heap at a single store in Taipei, which I did go to in February, and which I stupidly didn't bring enough cash to buy them. And which I might get to visit them again in August And I stumbled on this here.... Please help me control myself. You...

Wow, given the watches you guys are considering, some of my choices seem pretty banal. The question was about next purchases, not grail watches, and as I do not have any on order at the moment, I can oly say what I am considering , subject to change and a...

The Panerai PAM 317 Ceramic Monopulsante is on order but no idea if I'll get it or not, my AD is not reliable. My Dream watch was the AP Grande Sonnerie 1st generation which I've been very lucky to recently acquire but over the last few months I've been r...
