Horological Meandering

We have a tendency to talk about grail watches we love (a Journe Tourbillon of almost any iteration for me), but these tend, almost by definition, to be somewhat out of reach, at least in the short term. I would like to hear about the next watch you are a... 

And so many others which are in my wish list... 2 Rolex: A 5508, for its purity ( due to the lack of crown guards ). Not this one, but a very close: A 1675, a recent one, but with such an awesome coherent patina that this watch sings loud to me, very loud...  

Incoming....soon hopefully Grail...probably will never see one in the flesh :-(...

Always enjoy your sensibilities. Admit that I would need more of an education (don't be surprised) for me to arrive at these beauties as a choice, but each of their histories and aesthetics as are superb. Great to show me things that I need to research.

perhaps i'm just sentimental, but i couldnt imagine selling a prototype i'd made of such a stunning watch. i'd want to keep every proto of every model. business is business i suppose and $90k cant be sniffed at. Graham

i also have to be very strict with myself. vintage from 64 or unusual displays only. if i start buying just because i like the look of it i'll end up addicted with 100's of watches like i did before. i've already got a few that dont fit, but as they are g...

i have not seen anyone talk about or show pictures of their MIH watch going swimming... and i am not sure i want to be the first to do so when i get mine.

Mine had a little dust bunny appear on the dial. Rather than return it to CH my watchmaker opened it up and removed the speck of dust. There's NOT THAT MUCH water sealing in evidence - not like a Rolex mind you. Play it safe and swim in something else. Mi...
