Kind of a hard choice between two such brilliant pieces. I feel the 1815 would get a LOT more easy natural wrist time. But the Halter is one of those watches that is like owning a piece of Michelangelo's David or something... a 'piece' of a genius's work. Now, personally, I had several opportunities to buy the Halter, and each time, for different reasons, did not buy. Why? Although I LOVED IT!!!! I knew it would remain at the fringe of my collection, rarely getting worn... I ultimately did buy watches I would wear as often as possible... SO.... IF you are the kind of guy who would wear that Halter a LOT, (or equally as much as the Lange) then I'd go Halter, no contest. But if it will remain a strange and magical fringe watch... well.... I'd happily and proudly choose the 1815, then, and bask in my good fortune either way. And since you are looking for us to help actually decide--I will throw my hat in with the Halter, because, at the end of the day, it will remind you , you are and always will be a true collector--and only true collectors, watch-fiends, know about or could ever even discover a watch like that! Not to mention, it is a far more personal watch than the Lange, made in tiny numbers. The Artist Watchmaker really made it, and the crazy story of this watch's creation is also wonderful, a mess, and great for telling.... Keep the Halter--OR--refer to the first half of my post.
