Daytona is my choice.
When comparing any iteration of Daytona and Speedmaster. However, I would choose speedmaster over many other watches. Happily own 2 steel Daytonas and 3 steel Speedmasters. Maybe I need a gold version of one

It’s all about the flex. One may be slightly more advanced in some aspects but if you can acquire the PN you know without hesitation that’s the one

It would be the Daytona for me at retail.
That said greediness would have me sell it for the stupid amount of money they’re going for and buy the Omega and pocket 200k 😂. I really like the moonshine gold Speedy a lot…certainly enough to seriously consider purchasing it.
Visually the speedy
I don’t like PCL on Daytona, the Daytona has too much writing on the dial, I don’t like the gold in the bezel writing, the subdials seems less legible, nor screw down pushers. The brushed gold on the speedy is more my vibe

For the extra effort to make a new movement in this model. Omega is a bit “lazy” in this situation but it is same as Daytona for their precious metal variants. Maybe we are setting too high an expectation?

To long to draw the similarities, instead open both websites simultaneously and see each appropriate reference. There lies your answer!
To me, these two are not really competing with each other: a manual wind horizontal clutch vs. an automatic with a vertical clutch.
I do realize that for someone who is just a normal person (not a watch freak, that is) these would appear as close competitors based on the looks though.
