Longines and Movado have long been two of my favorites as well. Your points, and our similar paths underscore one of the sublime joys of vintage watch collecting: the deeper one digs, the more interesting and enjoyable the process becomes! Cheers, Tony C....

I found some information about your friends Eberhard. The model is called Oldflyer Vitré and is from the Avio Collection. It was made in the late 1990's. The movement is a Valjoux 7733. LdB ...

In my opinion, this rough, "bare-bones" movement is an insult to the wonderfully elegant appearance of the whole watch. I think that a solid caseback would have been a much better choice. Marcus

The Chrono4 module sits on an ETA 2892 not on the 7750. The rest is a matter of taste. At least they achieved a unique look with the Chrono4, which is better then nothing. Best, Goldenlutin
