Geneva Seal

There are a lot of high quality watches without Geneva Seal.  For example Lange, Parmigiani, Dufour's and Kari's watches and the list will go on.

Are they inferior when compared to VC or Patek?  Certainly and 100% not.

I know Patek and VC don't like the idea that Cartier also gets Geneva Seal.  This is all marketing ploy.  To be fair to Cartier, their privee collection watches are without Geneva Seal but they are very high quality.  I would say, they are better than a lot of models produced by PP, especially calatrava and VC.  Of course, apart from privee collection range, other range of Cartier does not attract me at all.

So, we shouldn't be too bothered by Geneva Seal. 

I have a few VC housed with Cal.1003 movements, some with Geneva Seal whereas some without.  It proves that Geneva Seal is not a good yardstick to measure and guarantee quality.

Above is just my humble opinion.
