AHCI members
Gaz,
There is no rule that prevents AHCI members for working with Brands (not their own). That's because most of the AHCI members have consulted or been 'creators' for the brands. This has been common practice for hundreds of years in watchmaking industry even before AHCI was founded.
Before or after they have their own independent brands, many of the Master watchmakers still help the industry brands e.g. Opus series #1 - 7 for HWRT, Franck Muller for Watchland Group, Bell & Ross Jumping Hour, Maîtres du Temps Chapter 1, MB & F (by definition - the friends), etc etc.
