Fantastic macro, Gary...
I really need to go get me a macro set-up... Canon 5D III and a 100mm... But, man, I can get a Tudor Montecarlo re-issue with that setup... Hahaha!!!
Seriously, I have been thinking about getting a macro lens for the longest time.

It's so much harder than it look, as I've discovered. Lighting, reflection, struggling with these and it seems that there is that one shot that will work. Anyway, trying this out as a beginner and novice. ...

In some ways macro photography is like golf: harder than it looks, with lots of technique needed, frustrating at times. And when you "hit" a good shot, it feels great but sometimes you can't recall what you did to make it work! Keep after it -- you're off...

That's a really good picture, and if you did not mention the methods used, I would not have guessed. I'm not with the SLR's as well, just using what the marketing people call a serious compact - which I believe is a term coined just to make people like me...
