Dr No
in your expert opinion, what does open papers mean specifically for this GP watch? How about for, say, a Zenith Chronomaster (since you are a Zenith moderator)?
Is information of the watch printed on a GP/Zenith warranty card straight from the factory like JLC/AP etc or are they always handwritten in by the dealer?
If open means no dealer information and no date, do you not agree that anyone could have written in the information of the watch and say that such information was hand written in by the dealer? But this would not make sense because if the watch info was written in by the dealer, by default the dealer stamp should have been included and the date of purchase should also have been entered.
So my point is that by stipulating that the papers are open, it becomes irrelevant whether any watch info is written in on the card, because by the very definition of open papers, there is no info on the papers.
I have re-read the "collectors' marketplace guidelines" and cannot find a clause that prohibits the sale of watches with open papers nor is there an official site definition of open papers. Pls correct me if I have missed anything.
