Horological Meandering

Clarification....

Gary to my question, does the watch comes with box and papers as mentioned in the ad, you replied : "The watch does come with box/open papers but it is not the original huge box with nine compartments. It is a small box as I believe the watch was bought from antiquorum a few years ago by the previous owner when I got it off his hands"

So, from this reply I obviously new that the huge box was not included but you DO STIPULATE OPEN PAPERS, which according to all the participants in this link and commun sense, means warranty, certificate, instruction manual etc. open meaning there is no name of purchaser and no date of purchase, right. Now the open papers I have received are, a small catalogue of the collection 1998/99, so before the watch I purchased from you was commercialised, the watch is not in that catalogue and a instruction manual from the same periode which therefore is useless for me as it does not relate to the watch in question. You also wrote "Open papers mean just that - open. This is a very commun term used widely in the watch community. Your interpretation is obviously not the same. There is no such thing as closed papers. I have been trading online for over a decade".

As said, the "open papers" I have received have NOTHING to do with the watch I have purchased from you and I find it very odd that you can still justify this as been commun practice in the watch community. So one would purchase a Minute Repeater and receive a chronograph, that's commun practice in the watch community!! Odd, really odd!!
