Confidence
Confidence – it’s a special relationship to have with anything. And when it comes to mechanical objects, be they watches, cars or other ‘tools’, it’s relatively rare. But the Rolex 5513 is a watch that I have developed enormous confidence in. This is no more obvious than when I am travelling, which I have been doing for the last couple of weeks. The 5513 just functions as it should. I know that it will be displaying the correct time (it gained 5 seconds in 10 days), that it will be running after an overnight rest (it is one of my most efficient automatics), it will take some rugged activities (swimming, caving, jet boating, climbing) and it will look good in all situations (from beach to fine dining).
Which of your watches do you have the most confidence in?

If I have to take only one watch for a long trip I would certainly take my Triple 6. Over any other Vintage Rolex, because it is still water resistant. Now, if I don't have to plan any water activities, I would take the 6542 with me, and / or any of my Vi...

Those are great watches, and I've heard the new ones like yours are even better. I have a way older cousin that overall, is probably the single watch I would go to for it's durability / simple classic looks etc.
